The Rossi Story
Rossi was born long before it became a company. It was born at my family’s table, in the countryside of Paraná, Brazil.
My childhood weekends were always lived in communion: at my grandparents’ and uncles’ houses, gathered around the table, sharing laughter, stories, prayers, coffee, and long lunches. That’s where I learned that the kitchen is much more than a place to prepare recipes — it is a space for togetherness, affection, and memories.
Seeing my passion, my mother enrolled me in cooking classes when I was a child. From then on, the kitchen became my creative refuge. As a teenager, I cooked less, but when I became a mother, that love came back with even more intensity.
During my second pregnancy, I felt the desire to create a shortbread cookie that would become the symbol of our home. I wanted something delicate, that melted in the mouth, and was always present at every gathering with friends and family. That cookie became a tradition at our table — always there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was in Brazil, rooted in my culture, that I began baking the first cookies that carried this essence of warmth and care.
Later, when we moved to the United States, Junior and I decided to venture into the food business. We cooked many things, but there was always one product that won everyone’s heart: the shortbread cookie. We quickly realized there was something truly special about it.
It was during this time that we faced one of the hardest moments of our lives: the loss of a baby. That grief led me into a season of silence and pain — but also into a deeper encounter with God. In my fragility, the Lord led me back to the kitchen. I started baking the cookies again, and they soon became the highlight of everything we made. Until we heard God’s voice clearly saying: “Focus only on them.”
From that moment, we understood that Rossi was more than a business. It was a new child the Lord had given us — born out of faith, resilience, and the purpose of transforming lives through something as simple and powerful as a cookie.
Our first great milestone was the Guava Shortbread — a cookie that combines authentic Brazilian guava paste (goiabada cascão) with the delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture of buttery shortbread. A true explosion of flavor that brings, with every bite, the memories of childhood, grandma’s kitchen, family gatherings, and even those special moments when a beloved cookie was saved for important occasions.
Over time, our product line has grown. Today, we offer a variety of flavors and formats, always created with love, tradition, and excellence. Each product is born from the desire to provide not just a treat, but an experience that revives memories, creates connections, and warms the heart.
And we continue to dream big. Our vision is to become the largest shortbread cookie factory in the United States, bringing Brazilian tradition and artisanal care to thousands of homes and businesses across the country. But we don’t stop there: we believe true transformation happens when we give back. That’s why one of our dreams is to establish a nonprofit organization focused on literacy projects for underprivileged children, offering not only cookies that nourish the soul, but also opportunities that transform the future.
Rossi is, therefore, more than an artisanal cookie factory. It is a celebration of life around the table. It is faith transformed into purpose. It is proof that food has the power to create memories, to give new meaning to stories, and to care for people.
Because here, we believe that every batch is an act of love.
And that is why we say with all our hearts: “We bake cookies that embrace the soul.”
